Our International Network
Korda Networks operates three submarine cables connecting Icelandic telecommunications companies to the rest of the world, as well as international customers to Iceland’s data centres. Korda Network is therefore responsible for connectivity, transmission capacity, and connection security.
International Capacity services are provided at key POP’s in Iceland and Europe using KordaNetworks’ subsea system and partnering terrestrial fibre network.
The integrity of the services is safeguarded both at sea and on land with route diversity and redundancy options. Korda Networks submarine cables have never had fault or cut on the wet sections.

Korda Networks provides colocation facilities in rural areas, for telecommunication and broadcasting operators in Iceland. Korda operates around 150 telecommunications colocation facilities throughout Iceland, providing colocation services for telecommunications equipment. Fouling fishing gear on a submarine cable can be extremely dangerous. In areas where submarine cables are present, bottom gear and anchoring, can pose serious risks to vessels and crews.
